A couple attempting to join the famed Mile High Club managed to get their whole plane diverted to a different airport.

They were actually escorted off the plane. Talk about a Walk of Shame! Aawwkwaard!

I have a good friend who is a flight attendant. I'll ask her if that's ever happened on any of her flights.

"It seemed like a good idea at the time." LOL

The thing is, though, how is fooling around in an airplane bathroom a problem? I guess it's sort of annoying if you're someone waiting to use the bathroom. And I guess it could cause legal problems for an airline if the people got injured while they were landing, or some other time the seat belt sign went on. Other than that, though, I fail to see why one would go to all the trouble to divert a plane to an airport just because people are fooling around in the bathroom. I don't know. Maybe it was the only bathroom on the plane or something.

If I'm being dense feel free to thwack me on the forehead :)

Oh. They threatened the flight attendant. Never mind.

Yeah, I'm guessing it's the threatening the flight attendant bit. I suppose, too, that airlines (probably the FAA actually) can have rules about what you can and cannot do in their bathrooms, although I would hope they wouldn't mess up a whole plane load of passenger's vacations just because someone broke the rules. Seems like threats might be a good reason to divert a plane.

Threatening a flight attendant in post 9/11 America is just dumb. I might just thwack THEM on the foreheads!
