For those of you interested in the big California homeschooling ruling that recently was in the news, here's an Op-Ed that is just awesome: "California Children Still Considered State Property."

Wish I had more time to comment, but please take the time to read it through, pass the word, write about it yourself, etc. This is a viewpoint that is really rarely expressed at all--and I'm so glad it's been expressed so eloquently here.

Okay fine, one quick comment:

They are MY kids. I did not give birth to wards of the State.

All problems with public schools stem from the taxpayer being forced to fund a noncompeditive monopoly; free from market principles which would close any business operating this way. It is worse than fighting city hall! No longer educational centers, these schools have become community thugs.
