Having Too Much Fun

. . . to get on the computer much. Which is nice--you know, having fun on your vacation!

We had a nice Christmas, the kids love their gifts and have been very, very well-behaved, the family is lots o'fun (as per their usual) and the wine and good cheer have been flowing freely. This weekend brings more visits to extended family, including Brendan's grandfather, and a reunion with old college friends who also had their third child last summer. Still funny, in a way, to think of all of us college cronies with all of these children!

And the plan for Monday is the Museum of Science and Industry! Haven't been in ages, since before we were married I think. Ryan is so going to love it, and I think Morgan will find some fascinating things there, too.

I am about over the COLD and SNOW/ICE thing, though. I suppose I've been a Southerner for long enough that it seems vaguely odd to me that people would truly want to endure this sort of weather on purpose! :o)

We were at the Museum of Science and Industry just a few years ago, and the Boychick was there this past summer. It is still a blast, and there are a whole lot of great new displays. The Boychick says: Plan to spend the whole day!

Ryan is very excited about the museum tomorrow. Evidently there's some kind of coal mine there, too. I'd love to spend the whole day, but suspect that the younger ones won't make it that long--which only means that we'll have to keep coming back!

Happy New Year!
